Project: Andes Lamp
Client: Independent Project
Category: Lighting
A conceptual lighting piece inspired by the soft, continuous rhythm of the Andes Mountains. Its glass forms echo the peaks and valleys of the range, capturing a quiet sense of movement and elevation. Each shade rises and falls like a landscape in suspension, translating geography into a luminous, floating composition.
Made through a combination of blown and tempered glass processes, the lamp explores the dialogue between craft and precision. A gradual sandblasting treatment softens the surface, creating a gentle gradient that suggests snow settling on mountain tops. When illuminated, the piece reveals delicate transitions between light and shadow, transparency and opacity.
The Andes Lamp is not yet produced, but conceived as an emotional object — a reflection on place, atmosphere, and memory. It invites a calm and contemplative mood, bringing the serenity of natural forms into contemporary interiors through the purity of glass and light.
