Project: Eva Chair

Client: Eirems (Egypt)

Role: Industrial Design & Product Development

The Concept

Eva represents a harmonious blend of advanced technology and classic craftsmanship. It is a sculptural contrast between softness and structure, balancing the warmth of natural wood with the playfulness of an oversized, cushioned backrest. Designed as a standalone statement piece or for dining interiors, Eva speaks a contemporary language of comfort, care, and character.

Design & Technical Challenge

The main objective was to create a piece that merges manufacturing efficiency with a seamless aesthetic.

3D Development: Modeled entirely in Rhinoceros, ensuring precise curvature continuity between the organic backrest and the structured base.

Technical Solution: The key challenge was the joint system connecting the upholstered backrest to the wooden frame. I developed a hidden structural connection that ensures stability and durability without compromising the chair's clean, floating silhouette.

Production: Designed with CNC wood machining in mind, optimizing components for assembly while maintaining the warmth of hand-finished details.
