The Concept
Mónaco was developed through a research into the classical design reminiscences of the 1930s — a decade when furniture carried the weight of luxury without apology. The result is a chaise lounge that speaks that language fluently, then edits it with a contemporary eye.
The saber legs curve with restrained drama. The central seat is upholstered in white leather capitoné — a hand-stitched tufting technique that creates a grid of soft diamond impressions across the surface, a hallmark of couture furniture craft. At each end, a cylindrical bolster in white leather, secured by a hand-fastened leather strap with a belt buckle closure beneath — a detail drawn from saddlery tradition.
Mónaco is not a revival. It is a conversation with a period that understood elegance as discipline — and comfort as a form of luxury in itself.
