Project: Pehuén Salt & Pepper Set
Client: Independent Project
Role: Product Design
Material: Solid Native Wood · Ceramic cap and base
The piñón — the ancestral seed of the Araucaria tree, sacred to the Mapuche-Pehuenche people of southern Chile — has fed communities for thousands of years. Its form, tapered and precise, became the starting point for this salt and pepper set.
A natural silhouette abstracted into a refined table object. The seed's geometry translated directly into function.
Concept: A salt and pepper set that abstracts the form of the piñón, fruit of the Araucaria tree native to the Andes. Solid native wood body with ceramic cap and base. — available in bright copper or matte dark brown finish.
